Used my Nuwave PIC today to make fried chicken. Set my temp at 350.
Couldn't get it to 350. Kept checking my oil with a thermometer. I
couldn't get anything over 300 until I bumped it up to 430, then it jumped
that high. I don't know what is wrong. I'll be calling for support. Also
tried to boil water. TOOK FOREVER. The 2 things I was looking for and
didn't get it....quick boil and accurate temp.

love the cooktop - buyer beware By Faith & Joy
I too had the same problems as others. I thought the cookware came with it
- and now instead of paying $29.95 they want $69,95 - their on line
service should be a lot more clearer.Their customer service via email -
takes forever for someone to get back to you - the best thing to do is
call - I will have to give them credit for changing my address for me, but
I think they should honor their prices if we make a mistake in ordering
their product. Their first question on their list is, why did my cookware
not arrive with my cooktop? What does that say about this company? I do
love the cooktop, but found out you can't use all cookware with the
cooktop, which is my fault. They need to redo their website to be clearer
when ordering - to make sure we know that the cookware doesn't come with
the cooktop, you must check the box to get it - too late for me, but maybe
my comment will help others. I would of gave it five stars if they would
give me my cookware for $29.95!

false advertising

Saw other reviews and thought of adding mine. I purchased cook top as per
television (buy 2 for 1) based on the statement "works with most
cookware". I didn't purchase cookware at the time due to knowledge that
they were charging way too much for shipping and that I already have about
30 pieces of cookware and didn't need more.
I emailed them on cook top not being compatible with any of my
cookware. They answered by saying that I could still purchase their
cookware and pay only shipping charge. I decided to give in to the
69.00+ charge since I'm nearing a full kitchen reno and thought I could
finally use the cook top while being out of a range.
To my disbelief, I can no longer get a reply from them. I emailed four
times with no reply (purchased 12/2012). Finally, called where they
couldn't find record and would not go on my word. Person also stated
that someone would get back to me within 24 to 36 hours. I faxed all
paperwork and still no response. She also advised me that the special
"pay shipping only" was a one time deal regardless of the email from
them. Why would it be a one time deal when the special is still
on?
I'm stuck between disputing with credit card company and buying other
brand cookware to help during my renovation. Very disappointed.
